The five killers
The Deity (X) is the free starter. Everyone else is unlocked with rings, the currency you earn by playing. No More Innocence and 2017X both switch to a completely different moveset in Phase 3.
What kind of game is Abyssal Escape?
Each server holds up to 8 players. One is picked as the killer (each player has a percentage chance of being picked), and everyone else is a survivor. Survivors don't pick from a cast of Sonic characters. Everyone starts from a blank “vessel” and customizes it, then equips two abilities.
The round is a race against the clock. Survivors find patches of red mist and clear them with a skill-check minigame, and each one cuts time off the escape timer. When the timer reaches one minute, an escape ring appears and is marked on every survivor's screen. Meanwhile the killer moves through three phases, getting stronger each time, and some killers transform completely. The beginner guide covers every part of this.
The game launched on October 17, 2026 as an alpha, so expect bugs and frequent balance changes. We re-check facts after updates and date every page.
